The 2008 Season Begins!
The
Heat will be tipping off its 2008 season in less than eight weeks. All age
groups will be attending several tournaments throughout the tri-state area and
many of the teams will be defending past championships. Come visit our location
at any time and see our wonderful awards and trophy collection.
Over the next several weeks the Heat will be holding clinics and tryouts for the
upcoming season. For those of you who are visiting our sight for the first time,
the Pittsburgh Heat is one of the most recognizable girls youth basketball
organizations in the local area. Our age groups range from 10 through 17 and the
girls come from several WPIAL
schools that make up the teams. Although our teams are highly competitive and
very successful each year, we balance this by making each member a better person
as they continue to grow. Contributing to this is our superior coaching staff
where all of have many years of experience and follow the Heat mission. We are
proud of the many accomplishments each team has achieved.
Our 12U and 15U teams competed in the
YBOA Nationals last July. Our
12U team placed 6th in their age bracket and took home hardware. This is the
second year in a row that a Pittsburgh Heat team took home a trophy at the
national event.
